Sub : 1st Great India Shopping Festival 

We would like to inform you that Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), under the aegis of Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India is organising 1st Great India Shopping Festival at Gujarat University Convention & Exhibition Centre, Helmet Cross Road, Memnagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 31st January to 10th February 2020.

The Festival will have multi-product display spread over 30,000 Sq Mtrs area with focus on following core Sectors viz. Textiles, Gems & Jewellery, Handicrafts, Leather and Non-Leather Products, Carpets, Tourism, Yoga and Ayurvedic products with special focus on New Innovative Products and dissemination of information relating to Health, Customs & GST and Income Tax.

Besides Exhibitions of Products, B2B Meetings with Overseas Buyers, Cultural Programs, Food Festivals, Carnivals with Rides and Games, Grand Prizes through Raffles and Lucky Draws will be the other Highlights of the Festival. ITPO has approached Foreign Countries for their Participation in this Festival. So far, Companies from Turkey, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have confirmed their Participation in this Festival.

The Nature of Festival will primarily focus on Business to Business (B2B) & Business to Consumers (B2C). Retail Sale is permitted subject to local Rules and Regulations relating to GST.

Role of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.

The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises through the O/o DC(MSME) is Participating in the said Festival and will be providing 9 sqm Stalls to individual MSE’s FREE OF COST, under the Procurement and Marketing Support (revised) Scheme on Payment of Refundable Security Deposit of Rs 10,000/-.

Contingency Expenses including Expenditure like Travel (One Representative from each Participating Unit may Travel limiting to AC II tier Train Fare /Economy Class Air Fare.), Publicity (Advertisement), Freight Charges (attach bills) Subject to Maximum of Rs 25,000/= or Actual, whichever is less will be Reimbursed by MSME on production of Actual Bills.

Please note that Only Members who are Registered as Micro & Small Unit having a valid UAM Certificate may take Benefit of this Scheme. Members will have to apply online on MSME site and CMAI has no Role to play in this Scheme. The Last Date of receipt of Application is 15th January 2020.
