64TH NATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
We are glad to inform you that the Association has received an Overwhelming Response towards Participation in the 64th National Garment Fair to be held between January 30-31, 2017, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon (East), Mumbai - 400 063. Over 60 per cent of the Total Stalls have been Booked. Members who are interested to Participate in the Fair are requested to rush their Application to the Office of the Association to avoid any last-minute disappointment.
The Last Date for accepting of Bookings is Wednesday, January 4, 2017—subject to the Availability of Stalls. The Draw of Lots for Allotment of Stalls is Proposed to be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Mumbai. The Exact Date, Venue and Time will be intimated to All the Exhibitors directly, by the Association.
The Association will start accepting Bookings for the ‘Show Directory’—popularly known as the ‘Fair Guide’— from Thursday, December 15, 2016. The Last Date for Accepting Bookings for the Special Positions is Thursday, December 29, 2016. The Draw of Lots for Special Positions, if required, will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in the Office of the Association.
The Last Date for accepting Booking for the Show Directory is Wednesday, January 11, 2017, Subject to Availability of Space. The Last Date for Accepting the Directory Printing Material is Monday, January 16, 2017.
58TH INDIA INTERNATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
The 58th India International Garment Fair (Autumn/Winter 2017-2018) will be held between January 18-20, 2017, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The Association has, so far, forwarded 52 Applications admeasuring 1,012 Sq. Mt. Area for Participation in the Fair to IGFA, Gurugram.
Members who are interested in Participating in the Fair are requested to rush their Applications to the Office of the Association to avoid any last-minute rush. SALAAM BAALAK TRUST
The Association has forwarded 193 Children Garments to the Salaam Baalak Trust for Distribution of the same to
the needy Street Children in and around Delhi.
We have sent a Representation to the Addl Secretary, Goods & Service Tax Council, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, on November 18, 2016. The Council has been presented with a Comprehensive Recommendation of the Clothing Industry as regards to the Legal Framework and the Prescribed Compliance Structure Under the GST Regime, in light of the Model GST Law (MGL) issued by the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers in June 2016.
We have also sent a Representation to the Addl Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Govt of India, New Delhi, on November 16, 2016, to Deliver a Note on ‘Standard Labelling Requirements’ for the Domestic Garment Industry. The Association is vigorously following up with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Govt of India, New Delhi.
The Association has submitted a ‘Size India’ Proposal to the Textile Advisor, Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India, on November 17, 2016. A Meeting was held on December 7, 2016, in Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi, to discuss the Proposal. This meeting was attended by Mr Sidharth Bindra, Chairman, Northern Regional Committee, Mr Mohan Sadhwani, Executive Director and Mr J K Arora, Senior Director, Northern Regional Office.
Dec 12, 2016 Circular No: 64th NGF/25/16 sent vide E-Mail to all Members of the Association regarding Bringing out the Show Directory during the 64th National Garment Fair and that the Association has started accepting Bookings for the same.
