65th NATIONAL GARMENT FAIR

We are glad to inform you that the Association has received an Overwhelming Response for Participation in the 65th National Garment Fair to be held on July 10, 11 and 12, 2017, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon (East), Mumbai – 400 063.

The 65th National Garment Fair, India’s Largest Apparel Trade Show, will be spread across Hall I, V, VI , VII & VIIA  covering a Gross Area of approximately 6,00,000 Sq. Ft. and will have approximately 881 Stalls showcasing over 1004 Leading Brands. Approximately 50,000 Trade Visitors are expected to Visit the 3 Days Trade Show.

The Draw of Lots Function for Allotment of Stalls was held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Textile Committee Auditorium, Prabhadevi, Mumbai 400 025. The same was intimated by SMS, E-mail and also vide Circular dated May 11, 2017 to all Exhibitors. The Check-in/Check-out  Procedure, Do's and Don’ts and Proposed Floor Plans were given to the Exhibitors who attended the Function.

The Association also started receiving Bookings for the ‘Show Directory’, popularly known as the Fair Guide. The Last Date for Accepting the Bookings for the ‘Show Directory’ is Friday, June 9, 2017 Subject to Availability of Space. The Last Date for Accepting the Directory Printing Material is Friday, June 16, 2017.

An important feature of the 65th National Garment Fair is the ‘Business Networking Sessions’. This would be a platform for the Exhibitors to meet Agents, Distributors and High Street Retailers. A Detailed Circular will be sent shortly to all Exhibitors who have confirmed their Participation in the 65th National Garment Fair. Applications for Participation in the Business Networking Sessions will be Accepted on a First-Come, First-Served Basis.

 

CMAI SUCCEEDS IN GETTING LOOSE GARMENTS REMOVED FROM THE LEGAL METROLOGY (PACKAGED COMMODITIES) RULES 2011.

We are glad to inform you that after persistent efforts with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Distribution and with the Support of the Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, the Association has succeeded in getting ‘Loose Garments’ Removed from The Legal Metrology ( Packaged Commodities ) Rules 2011 from July 01, 2017.

A Detailed Circular No P-6/03/17 dtd May 15, 2017 along with Two Trade Advisories dated December 16, 2016 & March 31, 2017 have been sent by Courier to all Members of the Association.

 

TEXTILES INDIA 2017

‘Textiles India 2017’ being Organised by the Ministry of Textiles will Showcase the Entire Textile Value chain and will be held between June 30, 2017 and July 2, 2017 at Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad.

Smt Smiriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Textile Minister has requested the Association to Participate in Textile India 2017 and Showcase the Indian Brands and Retail.

Accordingly, the President has requested all the National Brands and Retailers to come forward and Participate in the ‘CMAI Pavilion’ at the Textiles India 2017. Most of the National Brands and Retailers have Confirmed their Participation.

 

TEXTILES INDIA 2017 (Incorporating 59th India International Garment Fair)

Textiles India – 2017, organised by the Ministry of Textiles, incorporating the 59th India International Garment Fair will also be held between June 30 and July 2, 2017, at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. We are glad to inform you that the Association has received an Overwhelming Response towards Participation from the Industry.

The Association has, so far, forwarded 61 Applications, admeasuring 1,164 Sq. Mtrs. Area to IGFA, Gurgaon.

Cir No. P-6/03/17 sent to all Members thru E-Mail as well as by Courier informing them that CMAI Succeeds in getting Loose Garments Removed from the Legal Metrology ( Packaged Commodities ) Rules  2011, w.e.f. July 1, 2017.

Cir No 65th NGF/04/05/06/17 given to all Exhibitors at the time of Allotment of Stalls reg : Hall wise Check-in & Check-out Procedure at the 65th National Garment Fair to be held on, July 10, 11 and 12, 2017. The same details were sent to them along with the Allotment Letter.
