68TH NATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
We are glad to inform you that the Association has received an Overwhelming Response towards Participation in the 68th National Garment Fair to be held on January 30th & 31st, 2019, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon (East), Mumbai 400063. Over 400 Stalls have been so far Booked and only a limited Number of Stalls are now available. Members who are interested to Participate in the Fair are requested to send their Application to the Office of the Association at the earliest to avoid any last minute disappointment.
The Last Date for accepting of Bookings is January 4th, 2019, Subject to availability of Stalls. The Draw of Lots for the Allotment of Stalls is Proposed to be held on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 in Mumbai. The exact Venue and Time will be intimated to the Exhibitors directly by the Association.
62ND INDIA INTERNATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
The 62nd India International Garment Fair (IIGF) Autumn/Winter 2019-20 Collections, jointly Organised by The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), AEMA, GEA and GEAR, will be held from January 16th to 18th, 2019, at India Exposition Mart, Halls 1, 3 & 5, Greater Noida.
The Association has so far forwarded 18 Applications admeasuring 394 Sq. Mtr Area forParticipation in the Fair to IGFA, Gurugram.

IAF MEETINGS AND 34TH IAF WORLD FASHION CONVENTION
A Meeting of the Board of Directors as well as the General Assembly of the International Apparel Federation (IAF) was held on October 8th, 2018 to coincide with the 34th IAF World Fashion Convention that was held on October 9th & 10th, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Maastricht, The Netherlands.
Mr Rahul Mehta, President and Mr Mohan Sadhwani, Executive Director attended the said Meetings and the Convention on behalf of the Association.
GREEN FASHION INDIA 2018
The Association extended its Support to the ‘Green Fashion India Conference 2018’, which was Organised by the School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) and held on October 5th & 6th, 2018 in Goa, without any Financial Obligation. Mr Rahul Mehta, President was Invited to be the Guest of Honour at the Conference.

The Association has sent a Detailed Note to the Trade Advisor, Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India, New Delhi, on October 1st, 2018, summarising the Views expressed by the Association at the B2B Meeting held with the Sri Lankan Business Delegation on September 26th, 2018 at Delhi.

The good news first! Exports continue to show a turnaround which started in the third quarter of 2018, and March showed a healthy 15% growth over last year. Of course, we still ended up the fiscal 2018-19 with a negative growth of a little over 3%; the last 4-5 months’ performance indicates a more positive future. With the combined MEIS and RoSCTL now in place, I think we can look forward to a return to a growth period after several years.
