RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP OF THE ASSOCIATION
We would like to inform you that the Association has sent a Pro forma Invoice dated 1st April, 2019 to all the Members, with a request to Renew their Membership of the Association for the Financial Year 2019-2020. Members can also avail of the Cost Benefit of Paying the Membership Renewal Fee in Advance for three to five years.
Members are also requested to send the Copy of the GST Certificate to enable the Association to update their Records and issue the Tax Invoice. The Tax Invoice, along with the Receipt for the Payment, will be sent to the Members of realisation of the Cheque.
69TH NATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
We are glad to inform you that the Association has decided to Organise the 69th National Garment Fair on 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th July, 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO Complex, Goregaon (East), Mumbai 400 063.
This July Edition of the National Garment Fair will also be a NO DECORATION FAIR.
The Association has started Accepting the Booking for Participation from those Exhibitors who Participated in the 68th National Garment Fair held in January 2019. Booking for all other Members of the Association will be intimated shortly through E-mail and the Application Forms will be sent to them by Courier.
63RD INDIA INTERNATIONAL GARMENT FAIR
The 63rd India International Garment Fair (IIGF) featuring Spring/Summer 2020 Collections will be held on 4th, 5th and 6th July, 2019 at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh).
A detailed Circular pertaining to the Fair has been sent to all Members of the Association and has also been Uploaded on the Association’s Website: www.cmai.in.
The Association has so far received 14 Participants admeasuring an Area of 345 Sq. Mtrs.
SOURCE ZONE 2019
International Garment Fair Association (IGFA) has decided to Relaunch ‘Source Zone 2019’, which will coincide with the 63rd India International Garment Fair that will be held from 4th to 6th July, 2019 at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida.
‘Source Zone 2019’ will be beneficial to Manufacturers of Yarns, Fibres, Fabrics, Trimmings and Embellishments for Apparel, CAD/CAM Systems and Software who can Showcase their Latest Products to the Visiting Manufacturers and Exporters of Apparel.

FREE EYE CHECK-UP CAMP AT JOGESHWARI, MUMBAI
The Association Organised a Two-Day ‘Free Eye Check-up Camp’ on 11th and 12th March, 2019 at Shreeji Industrial Estate for the benefit of the Workmen in the Garment Units around Jogeshwari, Mumbai.
The Eye Camp was Inaugurated by Mr V M Kulkarni, Chairman, CSR Sub-Committee in the presence of Mr Rajesh Masand, Vice President, Mr Rohit Munjal, Hon. Treasurer, Members of the Managing Committee, CSR Sub-Committee of the Association, and Doctors of K B H Bachooali Hospital, Mumbai.
A Total of 698 workmen were examined during the Two-Day Camp and 521 Workmen were given free Reading and Bifocal Glasses as prescribed by Doctors.
The Eye Camp was well-received by the Members who appreciated this CSR Initiative of the Association.
FREE EYE CHECK-UP CAMP AT SOLAPUR
The Western Regional Committee of the Association, in Association with Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association (SGMA), Organised a Two-Day Free Eye Check-up Camp on 14th and 15th March, 2019 for the benefit of Workmen in the Garment Units in Solapur at MIDC, Akkalkot Road, Solapur.
The Eye Camp was Inaugurated by Mrs Chandrika Chauhan, President, Udyog Vardhini, along with Mr R K Jaju, President, SGMA by lighting the lamp in presence of Mr V M Kulkarni, Chairman, CSR Sub-Committee and Members of Western Regional Committee, Managing Committee, Members of SGMA, and Dr Mrs Madhuri Valvekar of Valvekar Eye Hospital.
A Total of 1,300 Workmen were examined during the Two-Day Camp and 817 Workmen were given free Reading and Bifocal Glasses. Prescribed Eye Drops were also given free of cost to over 750 Workmen.
The Eye Camp was well-received by the Readymade Garment Manufacturers in Solapur who appreciated this CSR Initiative of CMAI.
REPRESENTATIONS & CIRCULARS
The Association sent a Request to Shri Subhash Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Industries & Mining, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mantralaya, Mumbai as well as to Shri Uddhav Thackeray, President, Shiv Sena, Mumbai to take up the matter with the GST Council for a Uniform 5 per cent GST on the Textile Industry, which would Benefit the Smaller Brands and Manufacturers and help them to Upgrade their Products and Facilities and Grow without having to worry about Crossing the Limit of Size or Price.
The Association also made a Representation on 3rd April, 2019 to Shri Subhash Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Industries & Mining, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mantralaya, Mumbai requesting him to expedite Announcement of Implementation, Guidelines, Modalities of the Industrial Park Policy for Readymade Garments as Announced by him at ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ on 15th February, 2018 in Mumbai.

May I, through this President’s Message, extend a warm welcome to all of you visiting the 69th National Garment Fair.
The NGFs, as they are popularly known, continue to be the most sought-after Trade Shows of our Industry. Companies plan their Brand launches based on the NGF Calendar, Brands, their Range launches, and even non-participants, their own presentations to coincide with the NGF dates. Ironically, even other Trade Shows are planned based on the dates finalised for the NGF.
